Covid-19 Update & Guidelines

Below is a summary of Executive Order 133 issued by Governor Murphy about reopening of golf courses on Saturday, May 2nd. Please click on the link below to see the Executive Order 133 in its entirety.  

Golf Courses:  The order also opens golf courses so long as they adopt minimum social distancing policies that include:

  • Implementing electronic or telephone reservation and payment systems while still providing options for populations that do not have access to internet service or credit cards;
  • Extending tee times to sixteen minutes apart;
  • Limiting the use of golf carts to one person unless being shared by immediate family members, caretakers, household members, or romantic partners; 
  • Requiring frequent, and after each use, sanitization of high-touch areas such as restroom facilities, range buckets, golf carts, and push carts; 
  • Restricting the touching of golf holes and flags;
  • Closing golf center buildings, pro shops, and other buildings and amenities; 
  • Removing bunker rakes and other furniture-like benches, water coolers, and ball washers from the course;
  • Discontinuing club and equipment rentals; 
  • Prohibiting the use of caddies; and 
  • Limiting tee times to two players unless the foursome consists of immediate family, caretakers, household members or romantic partners.

The golf course may impose additional restrictions as necessary to limit person-to-person interactions. The order also recommends, but does not order, that employees, players, and other individuals on the golf course wear cloth face coverings while on the golf course. Additionally, the order clarifies that miniature golf courses and driving ranges must remain closed.

We now REQUIRE all tee times to be prepaid before you arrive at Heron Glen. This new policy will allow for better “Social Distancing” and ensure the safety of our guests and staff. We REQUIRE that your payment is received the DAY PRIOR to your tee off. 

 

BOOKING TEE TIMES

·         Per the Governor’s order, tee times are limited to two players

o   (unless the foursome consists of immediate family, caretakers, household member or romantic partners)

·         Tee times will be spaced out every 16 minutes

·         All tee times must prepay 24 hrs in advance, a tee time confirmation is required first

·         24 Hour cancellation policy applies

·         Walk-on golfers will NOT be accommodated at this time

·         Tee Times begin at 8am daily (tee times are required

 

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE COURSE?

·         We require that you stay in your vehicle until 10 minutes before your tee time, please verbally check-in at the pro shop window before heading to the 1st tee

·         The clubhouse building, pro shop and food & beverage areas are closed

·         The outdoor restroom attached to the clubhouse will be OPEN

·         On-course restrooms will be closed

·         It will be mandatory that riding golfers must use their own cart unless shared by immediate family members

·         Practice Facilities CLOSED including driving range and putting green

·         All cups are elevated to eliminate golfers having to retrieve their ball from the bottom of the hole

·         Please leave the flagstick in and do not touch or remove

·         Discounting club and demo rentals

·         NO distribution of scorecards, pencils, watercoolers and divot mix will be provided

·         Water coolers, ball washers & bunker rakes have been removed from the course

·         NO alcoholic beverages will be for sale and must not be brought onto the property

 

IMPORTANT RULES THAT GOLFERS MUST FOLLOW

·            Continue Social Distancing – stay 6 ft from other golfers and staff

·            Recommended that golfers wear a cloth face covering

·            Remember greet staff and other golfers by only waving

·            Don’t shake hands or high-five before, during or after your round

·            Leave the flagstick in the hole

·            Do not share or pick up another player’s equipment

·            If you do not feel well, stay home
